A Dolly Picnic

These two little girls are best friends and do everything together.  This afternoon they gathered their dolls and set up a picnic for them in the living room.  It's always so fun listening to them play "mommies" as they sweetly care for and correct their babies so lovingly.  They are such sweet little girls and I know they are going to make such sweet mommies someday.

Mommy's Dollhouse

When I was around 6 years old my mom made a dollhouse with me.  She took a cardboard box and divided it into 6 rooms, put in old leftover scraps of carpet and linoleum from our farmhouse and filled it with little dolls and furniture.  It was my absolute favorite toy.  I saved it and today I got it out for these two precious little girls to play with.  They LOVED it, too!  They sat there for the longest time making up little games and rearranging furniture.  It was so sweet and so neat that my beloved little dollhouse can still be enjoyed.

Painting on a Snowy Day

The perfect way to spend a chilly, snowy morning?  These two painted for a couple of hours creating one masterpiece after another.  After that we put our aprons on and made some yummy chocolate chip cookies.  Then we cuddled together and read some of the books we had gotten from the library yesterday after story time.  A perfect winter day of peaceful memories with my two favorite little ladies.
