Don put Ashley on the swing for the first time last week when we were all outside playing together. She was pleasant but not that impressed either way. :)

Dawes Auboritum Autumn pictures

We took the girls to Dawes Auboritum to walk around and decided to take a few pictures of them while we were there. We got a few good ones, but it took about 5 shots for every good picture. It seemed no one would look at the camera at the same time. Alexis's face in the first picture is one of those funny ones that kind of captured the mood after a while of what we were all feeling just trying to get a good picture. :)
Joseph and the Coat of Many Colors
We've been reading ancient history this year and the book we're using incorporates scripture into the history. So we read about Joseph and his coat of many colors. The girls enjoyed hearing this, since they already knew the story. We get together with some friends every other week to do some activities from the book together and this time we had the kids make their own coat of many colors. As you can see, they all had a great time.
The Wilds

Last weekend we took the girls to the Wilds, which is a large wildlife conservation center. There's a lot of things to do there, but the main thing is a 2 hour bus ride around the Wilds where you see many different animals out and about in nature. There are stops along the way, of course, but still it's a good long ride. So we get on the bus and the thing starts up and it's a bit loud, (as buses are). So the baby gets a nervous look on her face. Then the guy starts speaking over the speaker, which is also loud and she loses it. She screams and cries until the first stop. We get off and she's very happy, cooing and babbling.....until we get back on the bus and the screaming resumes. Needless to say it was a VERY long afternoon and I just about lost my mind. She finally went to sleep the last half hour of the tour - with me covering her ears. We have a year long membership to this place, along with the Columbus zoo, but I told Don he could take the two older girls there as much as he wanted and the baby and I would stay home until she's a year old at least. :)

Emily's Goodnight Kisses
Emily is our little bedtime boomerang. Every night I read her and Alexis a story, sing them a lullaby, and tuck them in. Then I go downstairs. Then for the next hour or so little Emily, curls bouncing, comes down the stairs for "just one more drink" and then after that she insists on kissing and hugging everyone in the room one more time. It's so sweet that we really don't do anything about it. We just enjoy her kisses and cuteness. I suspect eventually she'll outgrow it and then we'll miss it.
