Butterflies

We explored butterflies a bit the past 3 weeks. We got the girls a butterfly kit where you order butterfly larvae and then get to watch them grow into caterpillars and the change into chrysalids and then butterflies. The entire process took about 2 1/2 weeks. It was interesting to watch and the girls loved it. They had fun picking flowers for the butterflies each day and watering the flowers with sugar water. Yesterday we set the butterflies free in the backyard. The photo is of the girls and the butterflies right before we let them go. On a different note, we're expecting our newest little addition on Friday, May 30th. It will be a C-Section, since the other two girls were C-Sections and the plan is for 9:30 am. We'll post pictures as soon as we can afterwards, although realistically it may be a few days since I'll probably be the one doing it. :)

We had the fun of visitors in May. Uncle Mike and Aunt Rachel came to visit for a few days along with their two children, Marquis (3) and Kaitlyn (1). My parents also came over and stayed with us along with my younger sister, Becca. The children had a great time playing together and we all had fun visiting. We took the kids to the park and to the mall to play. They played outside quite a bit, as well. The favorite activity was digging in the dirt. :) Uncle Don even gave the kids a ride in the wheel barrel of his tractor mower. We also celebrated Aunt Rachel's birthday a little bit early. We were sad to see them go, but we really enjoyed having them here!

A Block Castle

One of the girl's favorite things to do with Daddy is to build blocks. Daddy helped them make this castle one day a few weeks ago. They didn't want to take it down after a few days, so I took a picture of them with it so they could remember it.
