Playing Choo Choo

Emily loves pushing Adam around in his little seat, playing train.  She pushes him all over the kitchen saying, "Choo Choo!" and if he's fussy, it always cheers him up.  She's always such a big help with him.

Rummikub and a Basket of Puff Bugs

On this particular evening Alexis and Emily were playing Runnikub with Daddy and Adam was sitting in his little seat and watching.  Ashley then came up me and showed me a basket full of "puff bugs".  She had taken little puff balls and glued and taped them into little bugs that she was now claiming as her pets.  These are they type of bugs that I am happy to have as pets.  :)

Fairy Party

We had a fairy party tonight with some friends and it was so much fun!  We had a picnic out on the back deck and then afterwards we played some fun fairy games.  We went on a fairy hunt, played ogars (AKA the daddies) and the fairies and gnomes, and then the dragons (AKA the daddies) threw water balloons at them.  After that we all cooled off with a refreshing swim in the pool.  It was Adam's first time in the pool and he seemed to enjoy it.  After everyone was done swimming, we came inside and had a family home evening lesson and fairy cake as refreshments.  We are so lucky to have such great friends like the Rowlee family and always have so much fun when we get together.

Baby Robins

Emily found a robins nest in the bush next to our deck.  There were 4 little blue eggs all together.  The girls were so excited to watch them hatch.  After 2 weeks of avoiding that area of the yard and parking around front so as not to disturb them, they finally hatched.  (Well, 3 of them did, at least.)  They were so cute and pink.  I didn't get any pictures until they were almost fully grown, but we have enjoyed watching them grow up.  One cool evening, when they were about 10 days old, we were outside enjoying the cooler temperatures. The girls were running around playing some sort of spy/detective game and Adam and I were rocking on the porch swing, nursing. As I nursed him I watched Mother Robin flying to and from her nest, feeding her babies, as well, and I felt a certain sense of comradery.  A couple of days later, however, the babies were no longer babies and they flew away.  We'll miss the little baby birds, but what a neat experience it was for our family.

Hopscotch With Teddy and Me

Ashley drew a little hopscotch board fer herself and her Teddy Bear one evening and happily played with her little friend for a long time.  Then Emily joined them and happily hopped along, as well.  :)

Uncle Jason's Move to Utah

Uncle Jason moved to Utah.  We were blessed to be able to spend a little extra time with him before he left. We're going to miss him and we love him very much!

What Happens When You Garage Sale With Grandma

We got several good finds this year, at the garage sales.  I got a few presents to put back and quite a few clothes for Adam.  The girls each bought a couple of little things with their chore money.  But the big find was this huge plastic chocolate bunny Grandma had to have.  :)
