In late February we took a trip to Pittsburgh and took the girls to the Carnegie Art and Natural History Museum. We had a great time looking at the dinosaurs. They had a special area the girls got to go in to "dig" for dinosaur bones, too. They also had a special children's area with all sorts of hands on activities for them. The art area was great, although we did this last and so pregnant Mommy didn't get to see much of it because I just couldn't take another step. :) So Daddy took them around and they got to see lots of original works of art by Monet, Van Gogh, and others they had seen in books so it was neat to see them in person. The other highlight of the trip for everyone was swimming in the hotel swimming pool. We had a lot of fun!

Disney Princess on Ice
We took our two little princesses to see Disney Princess on ice. They were so excited. They dressed up in their princess dresses and were enthralled by the show. They are at such a fun age where their little worlds are all about princesses, tea parties, fairies, and all things little girl and magical.

Snow Play
These little girls had so much fun today playing in the snow. I pulled them around in their little sleds, they made snow angels, I helped them look for fairy and bunny tracks, and they snacked on fresh snow. We went back into the wooded area and made believe a game that we were lost and came across some friendly fairies who helped us find our way and lent us some magical fairy dust in order to escape the evil witch. Afterwards I fixed them lunch and they had a winter picnic on the deck.

A Flower Fairy Birthday

Alexis's birthday is in February, but this year she wanted to have a flower fairy party outside. So we had a small family party in February and then in April tried to have the outdoor party with her cousins and friends. Unfortunately every Saturday we planned for rained or was too cold so finally we decided to just have a few friends over for the party in the middle of the week, (which the cousins couldn't attend because of school) and we promised her we'd have her cousins over for a little celebration in the summer after the baby arrived and Mommy recovered. :) We did have a good time. All the children wore fairy crowns and had fairy streamers they danced around with. They made fairy necklaces, had a treasure hunt, played an ogre chasing game with hula hoops, and played pin the star on the fairy wings. We all sang Happy Birthday to Alexis and had cake and ice cream. Alexis is such a sweet, adorable little girl. She is always full of joy and is so smart. She reads so well and loves her family so much. She has such a strong little testimony is always finds it easy to choose the right. We love this little girl so much and are so thankful for her loving spirit in our family.
